School Information
Marburn Academy is a not-for-profit, independent, day school devoted to serving the educational needs of bright students with learning differences such as dyslexia and ADHD. Opened in 1981 with 12 students, Marburn now educates over 200 students per year in its programs. Marburn Academy is the only school in Central Ohio with academic and co-curricular programs designed to address the full range of unique learning and personal development needs of children with learning differences such as dyslexia and ADHD. Students from approximately 25 Central Ohio communities attend the school.
Accreditation and Affiliations
Marburn Academy is accredited at the highest level by the Independent Schools Association of the Central States (ISACS.) The Ohio Department of Education accepts this accreditation and recognizes Marburn Academy as an independent, K-12, non-public school. Marburn Academy is also a member of the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS), the Ohio Association of Independent Schools (OAIS) and the Independent Schools of Central Ohio (ISCO.) Marburn Academy is one of only 11 schools in the nation to have its language instruction program accredited by the Academy of Orton-Gillingham Practitioners and Educators (AOGPE);

Marburn Academy enrolls students with average to superior intelligence who have encountered difficulty with reading, writing, spelling, math, organization, or self-management and who are free of primary behavioral problems.
