education grants with a graduation cap in a green circle

In September 2016, Marburn Academy was thrilled to be awarded two grants: a $9,850 grant from Views on Learning to fund our assistive technology program, and a $25,000 grant from the Harry C. Moores Foundation to fund a diversity initiative.

Supporting our strong curriculum with assistive technologies plays a vital role in our students’ academic success. Technologies such as Pulse Smartpens and Grammarly software make a measurable difference in our students’ ability to complete assignments, prepare for tests, and improve their writing. Our faculty, staff, and students are grateful for the support of Views on Learning.

The $25,000 grant from the Harry C. Moores Foundation will allow Marburn to develop and implement a robust diversity initiative designed to increase the percentage of minority and financially underserved students attending Marburn. Included as part of the initiative will be additional scholarship grants and transportation services, as well as marketing outreach to increase awareness of Marburn’s outstanding educational offerings. Read the full press release here.
