Community Parent Seminar in Collaboration with COSI Science Festival
Topic: Prioritizing, Organizing and Goal-Setting, Oh My!
Date: Wednesday, May 6
Time: 4:30 – 6:30 p.m.
Location: Marburn Academy, 9555 Johnstown Rd. New Albany, OH 43054
In collaboration with COSI Science Festival, a community-wide event to engage, inspire, and transform lives through science, technology, and industry learning, during a free seminar Marburn Academy will explore the brain as it relates to executive functions.
The skills of prioritizing, organizing and goal-setting are all executive function skills that are essential for school success. A local neurologist will share what we know about the brain and executive functions, such as where and what is happening, when developmental milestones occur, and how parents can support executive functions at home.
We will also engage in an interactive simulation of executive function challenges, hands-on activities, and help you start a plan to support your child’s executive functions.
This event is geared for caregivers, parents, and their school-aged children.
