We are writing to you today to announce that Jamie Williamson will be leaving Marburn Academy at the end of the current school year. Jamie has accepted the Head of School position at The Windward School, which serves students in grades 1-8 on three campuses in White Plains, NY, and Manhattan.
The last four years have been marked by a period of incredible growth and success for Marburn Academy. We are in a wonderful position and poised to continue to build on that success.
Under Jamie’s leadership, we have built a beautiful new building and moved our program to New Albany to serve more students in Central Ohio. We have significantly increased our development efforts to provide financial support for more students and the visibility of the great work that Marburn does every day. We have defined our core values to serve as a compass for future growth, expanded our outreach services in the community so more students can benefit from Marburn’s expertise, and continued to solidify Marburn’s position as a thought leader in the education of students with learning differences.
Navigating a Head of School transition is never easy, but be assured that our Board of Trustees is deeply committed to finding the right fit for Marburn Academy. In the coming days, we will be creating a search committee and will appoint a consultant to assist in our national search. Once the committee has been established, we will communicate more details about the team, the timeline for the search, and provide ongoing updates about our progress.
The Board is proud of what Marburn has accomplished over the last four years, and we have enjoyed having the opportunity to partner with Jamie during this exciting time. The Board of Trustees recognizes the importance of finding the right leader for our community and will work tirelessly to ensure we are successful.
We will keep you updated as we have more information to share.

Chair, Board of Trustees
